In class, we have read "Walkabout" by James Vance Marshall to learn more about the life of a hunter-gatherer.
But first of all, what is a Walkabout? What's the story about?The story is about two children, Mary and Peter, who survive a plane crash in the middle of an Australian desert. They struggle to survive, trying to find food and water. But Mary and Peter run into something that will change their lives. They run into an Aboriginal boy, on his Walkabout. The story continues on about the journey with the three children.

Aboriginal CultureAborigines have a very interesting, yet strange culture. Aborigines are usually naked and they are totally fine with it. They are considered to be hunter-gatherers. They hunt for there own food, and do not domesticate animals or plant crops.
